Oozing mid 70’s cool, the Nautilus was famously designed by the late, great Gerald Genta responsible for the Royal Oak, Ingenieur and Pole Router. The clever construction of the early ref.3700 may have been updated with the introduction of the 5711 to incorporate a sapphire crystal back but the Nautilus (named after the submarine in Jule Verne’s “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea”) has lost none of its mojo. The signature embossed dial, integrated steel bracelet and water resistant case of the Nautilus models have housed a number of complications since 1976 adding a power reserve, moon phase, chronograph, travel time and as of 2018 even a white gold perpetual calendar!
