Having purchased one for myself 10 years ago, the Nautilus 5712 has become my favourite modern watch to wear. February this year it was officially discontinued, and prices on the grey market have already begun to reflect the increased demand for what many people see as the perfect complicated Nautilus.

The horizontally embossed blue to black dial features a non symmetrical layout to display the subsidiary seconds at 4 o’clock, there is a power-reserve indicator between 10 and 11 o'clock, and an analog date at 7 with an integrated moon-phase display. At a mere 8.5mm slim, it is incredibly comfortable on the wrist, and measuring 40mm (from 2 - 8 o'clock) in our opinion it is the optimal size for a gents Nautilus. Powered by the self-winding Patek Philippe 240 PS IRM C LU calibre, waterproof to 60m.
