A similar Duograph sold at Phillips in 2016 for 56,000 CHF! This extremely rare vintage split-seconds Breitling has been in the posession of the same owner for 30 years. Attesting to the exceptional quality of this movement used by Breitling, split-seconds models using the same base calibre were issued in modern times by Panerai (PAM147 and PAM158), GP and Parmigiani.
The gently-aged guilloché-effect silvered dial has beautifully elegant rose gold indices, with a matched set of rose gold hands including the split-seconds chronograph hands with their counterpoises intact.
The case is exceptionally clean and sharp, with closely-fitting oblong chrono pushers. The split function is activated by clicking the crown. Breitling are nearly unique (alongside Patek) to have used this method. Other watches with the same calibre have a separate push-button in the middle of the crown. The 'Brevet' inscription along with the Swiss flag on the crown attest to their patent in this respect.
Two-year Watch Club warranty along with its distinctive bright yellow vintage Breitling box.
