This rare 36mm steel Explorer sports a beautiful (untouched) gilt 'open minute track' tritium dial. If you look closely, you can see the perfectly serifed typeface, especially in the letter "E" of Rolex. The hands (unusually for a 60 year old watch) have never been replaced and are original from manufacture.  

Designed for exploration, this vintage Explorer was created with one purpose in mind; to be reliable and robust in extreme conditions. Highly legible glossy dial, larger 3-6-9 tritium quarter markers and a steel riveted bracelet were a must. Stamped IV 65 inside the caseback, powered by Rolex's self-winding superlative chronometre calibre 1560, and waterproof to 60m. Guarantee for two years.
