Vintage Paris-signed Cartier Tanks were produced in very limited numbers, and are highly sought-after today.

Manufactured in 1970, this is the extremely rare Tank Jumbo XL ref. 17002, the largest Tank of its day. Featuring the ETA-based automatic movement, with a unique raised dome case back specially designed to accommodate the self-winding rotor. This design aimed to preserve the Tank's signature minimalist aesthetic.

Our 1970's 18ct yellow gold example measures 28 x 35mm and retains its original 'Paris' signed white enamel dial (in perfect condition), and features Cartier's roman numerals with chemin de fer minute track. 

The Paris signature at 6 o’clock defines it as a rare example retailed directly from Cartier’s most prestigious boutiques (Paris & London), which is also present on the caseback. Fitted to a new black Cartier alligator strap with solid yellow gold deployant clasp.
