The Tank Américaine family was first launched in 1989, it was Cartier's modern take on the original 1921 Tank Cintrée (which now commands six figures plus). 

However the important news came in 1993 with the introduction of this rare Tank Américaine Jumbo, fitted with the mechanical 430MC caliber. This model ref. W2601256 in 18ct yellow gold, is probably the most collectible Tank Américaine and the best neo-vintage alternative to the vintage Tank Cintrée.

The slim elongated yellow gold rectangular case gently curves to follow the natural contour of the wrist, a defining characteristic that makes it extremely comfortable to wear. 

The opaline silvered dial features Cartier’s signature Roman numerals, (with hidden signature at 7), blued steel sword hands and blue sapphire-set crown. Water resistant to 30m, fitted to a brand new black Cartier alligator strap with solid yellow gold deployment clasp.
