Only available from Wempe boutiques, and only in a very limited edition of 100 numbered pieces. This 'Grosse Langematik Gangreserve' Power Reserve commemorates 100 years of the Wempe marine chronometer manufactory. Our watch has hardly been worn since it was first sold in Hannover in 2006; over time and without use, the 18ct yellow gold case has attanained a beautiful deep honey-coloured hue. We simply couldn't allow the case to be re-finished, the vintage colour is too beautiful to polish away.
Slim self-winding 'Sax-O-Mat' movement with platinum-edged micro-rotor visible through the sapphire back. 48-hour power reserve, indicated on the silver roman-numeral dial, and Lange's patented seconds zero-reset mechanism that springs into action when you pull the crown. Large 40.5 mm case. Original factory crocodile strap, and supplied with its certificate, booklets, and original special chronometer-style box numbered in two places to match the watch. By our research, fewer than 5 of these rare watches have ever appeared at auction, and with only 100 produced it is an exceptional icon. Two-year Watch Club warranty.
