MK IV Box & Papers
This meticulously kept vintage "double red" writing Sea-dweller ref. 1665 was retailed in the sunny island of Palma De Majorca on the 24th of July 1975.
Extremely rare to find such a beautiful full-set 'DRSD' with perfect 'MK IV' tritium dial, creamy untouched lume plots, matched by the original Mercedes hands & bezel pearl at 12. The 4,2m serial case (stamped inside the caseback) is also excellent, showing extremely little wear, with fat lugs and crisp bevelled edges. Fitted to its original '9315' folded link Oyster Fliplock bracelet with famous typo 'Pateted' stamp in the divers extension, and correct 585 flush fits.
Accompanied by its vintage Rolex box, Submariner/SD ocean booklet, both swing tags with model & serial numbers, AD stamped Rolex guarantee, and even the super collectable 610m Rolex anchor. Finding such a perfect, near fifty year old example of the worlds most iconic dive watch, is an extremely rare occurrence these days.
