Mark III - "Full Set"
The "Double Reds" are the most sought after of all Rolex Sea-Dwellers, and this MK III example is one of the finest and most complete ref. 1665's we've seen. The perfectly matching hands & batons have developed a vibrant cream tone, and the case lugs are thick and crisp.
The Mark III (5,0xxx serial), with its distinctly pointed Rolex Coronet and unique text alignment, was the last of the Double Red dials to feature the beautifully serifed 'open 6'. Almost impossible to find as such a complete set we are pleased to offer this important dive watch with its original box, Rolex perforated certificate, Oyster & wave booklets, both swing tags, Rolex service history and even the original Rolex 1977/78 calendar card.
This watch is one of the small number issued since 1967 as public versions of the then-novel Comex watches, and are now one of the most iconic variations of this desirable sporting Rolex. Serviced by Rolex in 2003, this watch will be difficult to replace. Guaranteed for 2 years.
