Sea-Dweller
1665 - Double Red
Forever a collectors favourite, along with the Daytona, the DRSD remains one of the most coveted vintage sport Rolex ever produced.
It was refreshing to acquire such a well-preserved Double Red Sea-Dweller, directly from the family of the original owner; handed down from father to son. Purchased in 1974 and worn sparingly, this rare Plexiglas Double Red ref. 1665, shows numerous Rolex service etchings inside the caseback, but (importantly for vintage) with almost no restoration. Its most recent documented service with Rolex was February 2023.
It features the MK IV matte charcoal tritium dial, with creamy lume plots & Mercedes hands. The 40mm steel case shows honest wear – retaining thick lugs and good definition, just as it should be. Fitted to its original 9315 folded link Oyster Fliplock bracelet, waterproof to 200m and powered by Rolex's SCOC self-winding calibre 1570.
Accompanied by its Rolex travel pouch and Rolex service card dated Feb 2023.
