Records indicate that fewer than 60 Stella dial Day-Dates have appeared globally at auction; encompassing all precious metals, references and colour variations. Finding a vintage example like this, with its gorgeous red lacquer dial in perfect, unrestored condition, with all its original tritium lume intact, is pretty remarkable.

Produced between 1970 and 1978, these colourful Stella dials represented a bold departure from Rolex’s typically restrained design. Today, they are one of the most recognised and treasured of all vintage Rolex.
