Rolex 'Big Red' Cosmograph Daytona ref. 6265.

Values have steadily and unstoppably moved only one way over the past 30 years: upward, punctuated by record-breaking prices for important pieces such as Paul Newman's own watch.

This watch has the correct final-series screw-down pushers (giving reassuring heft to the case), clean and sharp original case and correct bracelet. The 3rd series bezel has its stylish hooked 7s and hi-hat 5s. Warm, intact tritium luminous markers and hands. Fresh and crisp original black dial with the archetypal brick red 'Daytona' in chunky 'big red' font. The movement is in similarly excellent and well-preserved condition.
