Retailed in 1974, this vintage steel Daytona ref. 6263 with original MK II screw-down pushers, features the sought-after black acrylic bezel, with black Sigma dial (a characteristic of the earlier pre 'big red Daytonas'). Powered by the manually-wound Valjoux caliber 727, these black bezel 6263's are much harder to find than their steel bezel 6265 counterparts, and as a rule with vintage Daytonas, black dials are rarer.

The monochrome sigma dial features 'Rolex Oyster Cosmograph' in a serifed silver typeface, and the 'σ T Swiss T σ' at 6, to denote the use of precious metal; white gold hands filled with tritium, and matching baton hour markers tipped with small tritium spheres. The chronograph's silver concentric registers add a touch of contrast to the matte black dial. 

Serviced at Rolex over the years, this 4.1m serial Cosmograph features the is fitted to the sturdier 78350 Oyster bracelet, and is a beautiful example of Rolex's most iconic chronograph. Waterproof to 60m, and  guaranteed for two years.
