16520 - Patrizzi
Proof that this level of gorgeous caramel brown patina isn't solely found on the W serials...
This steel Rolex Daytona Ref. 16520, retailed by Mappin & Webb in September 2000, is an A series Zenith-powered Cosmograph offered in exceptional, original condition, and complete with everything from new.
Most striking are its chronograph registers, which have naturally transitioned from their original silver to a spectacular, tropical brown tone; a rare and highly attractive patina first discovered by vintage watch scholar 'Osvaldo Patrizzi'. Similar 16520's have performed incredibly well at recent Geneva auctions, underscoring continued demand for rare, attractive examples like this.
The first automatic Cosmograph Daytona powered by Zenith's respected El Primero calibre 4030, waterproof to 100m and fitted to its correct (AB) year stamped 78390 Oyster fliplock bracelet.
Accompanied by its Rolex box, Daytona booklets, instructions, both swing tags, calendar card (2000/2001), and perforated Rolex warranty papers dated Sept. 2000.
