To better appreciate the importance of Patek World Time's with enamel dials, one only needs to Google the auction results for the vintage examples which have surpassed multiple million. 

This 5131G was only produced for 3 short years, as specialised artistry was required to produce the enamel dial. Only two or three master enamelists were capable of creating these Cloissoné dials entirely by hand, resulting in fewer than 40 made per year, across all metals. Fine gold wires were used to outline the continents, and only a handful could be heated perfectly without cracking whilst meeting the colour standard by Patek. 

Within its 39.5mm white gold case, the dial presents four continents: Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceana (24 time zones), GMT, second time zone and day/night indicator with the Patek Philippe signature engraved to the bezel.

Visible through the sapphire case back is the self-winding calibre 240HU with 48 hour power reserve, water resistant to 30m. Secured by a navy alligator Patek strip and 18ct white gold Patek Philippe deployant clasp with Calatrava cross.
