Follow up to the Perpetual Calendar 3940 (one of the most important watches in Patek's modern history), the 5140 was launched in 2006, and would use the same ultra-thin, self-winding (micro-rotor-powered) caliber 240Q - still one of the slimmest Perpetual Calendar movements ever made.

The slim 37.2mm 18ct rose gold case features an exhibition caseback, with the option to have the solid caseback fitted as an alternative, the dial is silver opaline with slender rose batons and elegant dauphine hands. New Patek brown alligator strap, fastened with the rose gold Calatrava Cross deployment clasp.
