In their own 2007 press release, Patek candidly stated, "the Aquanaut collection is poised for continued success" – turns out, this was an understatement. Collectors are requesting this model now more than ever as they look for more wearable luxury, knowing they have one of the only 5165's left in such outstanding condition. Today, there are less than 10 examples for sale worldwide.

Originally released to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Aquanaut, this perfect example from 2011 with black grenade embossed dial, retains the original 38mm 'jumbo' case size (like the earlier 5065a). It benefits from Patek's upgraded self-winding calibre 324 SC visible through the sapphire caseback. Slim & understated, this contemporary sized aquanaut is fitted with the tropical black rubber integral strap, secured by its twin-folding deployant.
