In recent history, there have been fewer than 20 Railmaster ref. 2914 sold at auction. Collectors seem reluctant to part with this important Omega, which is now nearly impossible to replace.

Launched in 1957 (only in production to 1963), as part of Omega's professional "trilogy" of tool watches (alongside the Speedmaster and Seamaster 300), the Railmaster was engineered to be resistant to magnetic fields, a pioneering feature designed for engineers and scientists. The large 38mm stainless steel case and highly legible black dial with luminous Arabic numerals exemplify its utilitarian origins and timeless design.
