Cartier
Tank Louis Mecanique
Box & Certificate
What do Andy Warhol, Muhammad Ali, and Jackie Kennedy all have in common? They all wore one of the most iconic watches ever made - The Cartier Tank.
This rare Mecanique Louis Tank was retailed on Fleet St in 1993, made in 18ct yellow gold, paired with a beautifully clean ivory guilloché dial and is in immaculate condition. While many Tanks from this era transitioned to quartz, this watch is powered by a manual-winding mechanical movement, wound by its sapphire-set crown. Fitted to a tan Cartier alligator strap and fastened by its Cartier pin buckle.
Few watches can claim true cultural immortality, but the Cartier Tank stands firmly among the most legendary designs in horological history. Inspired by the Renault tanks of World War I, its clean geometry and effortless elegance have transcended decades of shifting trends, remaining as relevant today as ever.
Timeless, discreet, and effortlessly refined, this yellow gold Tank comes complete with its Cartier Certificate from October 1993 and its vintage Cartier box. Under guarantee for 2-years.
