A rare piece of Rolex racing heritage, this elegant 18ct yellow gold chronograph from 1938 houses the legendary manual-wind Valjoux 22 calibre. Featuring a clean (sympathetically restored) opaline dial, twin sub-dials and crisp black minute track, it's a timeless blend of form and function.

At 36mm, the solid gold case was remarkably large for its day, and is therefore perfectly proportioned nearly 90 years on. The Rolex coronet, serial and model number are still strongly evident on the case back, a characteristic lost with over-polishing with so many watches from this era.
