Launched by Rolex in 2023, the 1908 collection has proved extremely successful. Special attention has been reserved for the platinum example with blue dial, that is commanding over £50k, double its current UK RRP.

This brings us aptly to this 2005 platinum Cellini Ref. 5241, credited as the watch that inspired Rolex to reinterpret their quintessential dress watch. At 38mm this solid platinum Cellinium is part of Rolex's historic line of perfectly executed evening watches. It has just returned from a full service at Rolex, and is under their international warranty for the next 2 years. With only a handful for sale in the UK, and with so much interest in the new line, I doubt we'll get another in quite some time. 

The glossy black dial with discreet minute track and small running seconds at 6, provide excellent legibility, offering a minimalistic time-only display. Fitted to a new black alligator Rolex strap, secured by its 950 platinum Rolex deployant clasp, and powered by Rolex's hand-wound mechanical calibre 1240, solid case back. Presented with its black Rolex Cellini box, Cellini booklet, 2005/06 calendar card, and Rolex international service warranty card from March 2025.
