F.P. Journe’s Chronomètre Bleu is a defining model, a fusion of horological finesse and contemporary elegance. Crafted from tantalum, a notoriously difficult and exotic metal, the slim 39mm case has a rich gunmetal hue and a hefty presence on the wrist that feels every bit as special as it looks. The mirror-polished chrome blue dial is utterly mesmerising — shifting from deep oceanic tones to electric sapphire depending on the light.

Visible through the sapphire caseback is the beautifully finished Calibre 1304 — constructed in solid 18ct rose gold, hand-finished to the standard only Journe delivers.
