Rolex Daytona 'Fuerza Aerea del Peru'
REF: 6265 | Year 1973
SOLD
Sold on 16 Oct 2010One of the rarest Rolex Cosmographs; these watches were officially supplied to the Peruvian Air-Force since 1962. Just like most of the other 700 or so known examples, the word "Daytona" is not present on the dial. The military inscription Fuerza Aerea del Perú appears on the case-back, while the serial number appears on the inside, thus permanently matching the two parts of the case. Also notice the σ (sigma) marks at the bottom of the dial, indicating high-grade white gold hour batons. Case movement and dial are in excellent original condition, and the watch is fitted to a slate grey nato strap matching the colour of the three inner sub dials. Steel oyster bracelet also included.
