Extremely collectable, these vintage Tudor chronographs were made in parallel with Rolex's Daytona. Both watches were powered by manual wind Valjoux movements and shared the early prototype screw down pushers of the Rolex 6240. This example is from the second generation of Monte Carlos with the 234 calibre movement and features the rotating bezel designed for use as the chronographs hour recorder. The clean grey dial is incredibly fresh and the bold orange accents really pop against the black minute track. As is common with these Monte Carlos much of the original Tritium lume has been lost from the dial but the hands have aged beautifully.
