With more service history and paperwork than we have ever seen with a vintage watch, this must surely be the most meticulously-cared for Rolex Explorer of the last forty years! The watch serial number (also perforated into the old Rolex guarantee document) places the year of manufacture at around 1966, although the caseback clearly states "II.69". In any event, the watch was sold in February 1972, as the original bill of sale for 745 Riyals from "Ahmed Seddiqi" in Dubai attests. Further documentation shows British import duties to have been paid upon the owner's flight back to the UK from Teheran.

Regular services and adjustments to timekeeping are all documented in the sheaf of papers from UK Rolex at Bexley. The watch is, needless to say, immaculate, with the dial and hands being especially good. Guaranteed by us for two years.
