A beautiful silver dial vintage Daytona from 1966 with free chronograph pushers and '200 unit' bezel. Daytona is printed in a curve above the black chrono hour register at 6 o'clock, and the 60's steel case is typified by its pointed shape directly beneath the winding crown, later models released in 1970 have a more rounded appearance.
Fantastic original example of a '6239' - the first ever Cosmograph Daytona.

Extremely rare Cosmograph produced for only 1 year and called the 4-Line as the words 'Officially Certified' are missing from under the words 'Superlative Chronometer' thus having only 4 lines of text instead of the customary 5. Another oddity found on this dial was the up-side down number 6 of the hour register (which lets be honest looks like a 9) a 'mistake' Rolex rectified by around 1992. Collectors love mistakes!
Serviced by Rolex in April 09 and supplied with original box.
